About
This course focuses on the technique of asset mapping as a tool to assess how library people can best serve as second responders, especially in communities disproportionately impacted by crises.
The course will review the approach of asset mapping, and then discuss community canvassing as a way to go into the community and discover its assets. Key topics include addressing the trust gap, surrendering bias, and shifting thinking from "problems" and "needs" to "assets".
